Matthew completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage at The Australasian College of Natural Therapies and is registered with all major health funds. He has been working with us since March 2016.
Matt’s interest in remedial massage flourished from his love of sports. Playing competitive rugby union for over 10 years along-side swimming, athletics and basketball has given him a unique insight into biomechanics and injury management. While he now only plays cricket competitively, he never misses the opportunity to ‘chat sport.’
He began practicing while living in Central America and his love of remedial massage followed him home to Sydney where he worked across a variety of settings including a chiropractic clinic.
Matt has a ‘roll up your sleeves’ approach to his work. Not afraid to put in the hard yards, his sessions are often quite physical and specifically targeted to the issue at hand. He is very results driven and has a high level of commitment to achieving the optimal physical outcome.
In October 2017 Matt and a few other therapists from S&DT attended the Myofascial Cupping Technique™ seminar. This technique allows Matt to gently stretch connective tissue and to increase blood flow through different layers of muscles in the body.
