Mauricio is a veteran Remedial Massage Therapist (ACNT Diploma, 2006) and the founder of Sports & Deep Tissue Clinic in Newtown. First opened in 2014, the clinic was built specifically to bridge the gap between general relaxation massage and precise, clinical musculoskeletal therapy.

Drawing from over two decades of clinical experience alongside Chiropractors and Osteopaths—combined with his personal background in natural bodybuilding—Mauricio specialises in high-performance recovery and biomechanics optimisation.

An educator at heart, Mauricio spent years training and supervising student therapists. In 2016, he developed the Kickstart Program—a clinical mentorship framework that successfully launched the careers of many independent practitioners, including the clinic’s long-term senior therapists, Matt and Izy.

Mauricio does not offer relaxation and/or pregnancy massage. Massage is contraindicated during the first trimester of pregnancy. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will have to sign a consent letter and also be present during the session. Mauricio does not offer direct billing for Workers’ Compensation, CTP, or NDIS. All sessions must be settled in full at the time of appointment. He is happy to provide a standard tax receipt for you to claim independently where applicable. Mauricio has a 12 hour cancellation policy and he cannot promise that the services he offers will be the solution to your problem.
