Mauricio graduated with a Diploma of Remedial Massage from ACNT in July 2006, marking the beginning of a dedicated career working alongside Chiropractors and Osteopaths, within established Sydney massage clinics, and through a mobile practice spanning over five years.
Following eight years of independent practice, Mauricio established Sports & Deep Tissue in Newtown back in 2014. This clinic was specifically founded to cater to clients seeking firm, targeted Sports and Deep Tissue Massage, distinguishing itself from general massage parlours that often lack therapists specialising in detailed and specific musculoskeletal work. His core specialisations include Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point Therapy.
Drawing upon his comprehensive skill set, Mauricio is committed to alleviating tightness resulting from repetitive strain, poor posture, and sports-related injuries. His treatments often integrate stretching and exercise prescription to enhance flexibility, balance, and strength. Mauricio’s recent engagement with natural bodybuilding fuels his ongoing research into physical, mental, and professional optimization, allowing him to connect effectively with clients who share a passion for fitness and an active lifestyle.
Active sportspeople and regular gym attendees seeking to achieve their peak performance will find Mauricio’s expertise invaluable.
Mauricio is a registered provider with all major Australian health funds in Australia and offers limited appointments between 3:30 PM and 9:00 PM on weekdays only.
